Clash of the Titans is a remake of the 1981 version. The film is loosely based off of the Greek legend of Perseus, who must find a way to defeat the Kraken before the gods unleash it upon the human races, who have declared war upon the gods (humans apparently think highly of themselves to go to war with the gods).
First of all, Clash of the Titans has no humor; I know, it’s not supposed to be a comedy or anything, but it could have at least a little bit of humor or comedy in it like Narnia, King Kong or the Lord of the Rings to keep us chuckling every once in a while.
The demigod Perseus joins forces with a Greek military unit, who are slowly killed to death in a series of battles in their quest to find the answer to destroying the Kraken. That’s it right there. On the way to find and defeat the Kraken, only fighting and action takes place in between, with the characters slowly being killed off along the way. It also tries to make us like its characters, but I found myself oddly detached from them.

The acting was average, not impressive but not terrible either. The action scenes were entertaining enough, and, even though it did have too many action scenes with swords clashing against Greek monsters and creatures, most of them were tense and thrilling. This remake wasn’t enduring enough, too action packed and not memorable despite being somewhat entertaining along the way.
