Revenge of the Sith completes the Star Wars saga. It connects all the dots and brings the complete story together. Revenge of the Sith is set 3 years after the events of Attack of the Clones, during which the Clone Wars have raged throughout the galaxy. Anakin is falling closer to the Dark Side of the Force, and the Republic is politically crumbling.
Revenge of the Sith is by far the most action packed and violent of the entire series, yet still reminded me more of the original trilogy. Eventually, Anakin does fall to the dark side, becomes Darth Vader, and basically slaughters the Jedi except Obi-Wan and Yoda. Two fights happen concurrently: Yoda fights Darth Sidious who has revealed himself to the galaxy (the fight ends with Yoda fleeing into exile), and Obi-Wan taking on Vader in a long fight across a lava planet, which ends with Vader maimed and nearly burned to death. Padme gives birth to Anakin’s twins, Luke and Leia (who are adults in the original trilogy), before dying, and Vader is given his more recognizable suit.
Revenge of the Sith recounts us back to the real Star Wars, something that was sort of lost in the other two prequel movies. This is probably why Revenge of the Sith connects all the dots to make Star Wars complete. Overall, I would call Revenge of the Sith superior to the other two prequel films, but it proves that the original trilogy will never be surpassed.
