Rush Hour 2 (2001, PG-13)

The first Rush Hour film ended with the LAPD cop and Chinese agent, played enthusiastically by Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan respectively, headed to Hong Kong on vacation.
Rush Hour 2 finds them there, enjoying their vacation until a new mission pops up, and it’s personal with the Chinese agent because their target killed his dad, who was also a Chinese agent.
Travelling from Hong Kong to Los Angeles to Las Vegas, Rush Hour 2 keeps the mystery, thrills, action, humor and comedy of the first Rush Hour film.  Like its predecessor, Rush Hour 2, I admit, does seem a little short, but it keeps the fun of the first film.
Fans of Rush Hour shouldn’t be disappointed with Rush Hour 2, which I consider pretty well underrated.  Rush Hour 2 is a satisfying sequel to Rush Hour.
Grade: B
